She and Bree move in together and later Jake brings her a homeless teen, Riley Lane to watch over. Kitty struggles with Riley for some time but eventually begins to see her as a daughter.
Kitty runs for City Council and though she faces some trouble, she is elected. After legal battles with Riley's abusive father, Kitty helps Riley get emancipated and later adopts her. She begins a romantic relationship with Jake and the three move in together by the start of Race to the Finish. All is well until Jake takes issue with Kitty when she meddles in Julie's love life and causes problems with Ryder, as well as not accepting his decision to become a musician, as well as Riley's desire to join a musical group.
The two eventually part ways due to the constant fighting and Jake moves out. Kitty meets a guy named Jeff , who tells her about a job working for the campaign trail of a Republican Senator and presidential hopeful.
She accepts the job and she and Riley move to D. By Push to the Limit she is no longer a main character, though she makes appearances at Christmas and New Year's. Kitty is seen talking to Quinn by her locker. Later Julie notes that she only lasted in the Cheerios due to something related to Kitty. Kitty interrupts her conversation with Jake to warn Julie about his third nipple and recalls her as having joined the Cheerios but quitting due to not being able to 'take the heat'.
She leaves and Brittany tells the other girls that Julie quit the Cheerios because Kitty was mean to her. Kitty is annoyed when Julie attends the sectionals rehearsals. Mike sends her to his group to practice the dance. Kitty participates in the Gangnam Style performance and is seen winking at a judge. She then is unhappy when she has to give up her dress for Julie to wear when she replaces Marley for the duet with Jake.
Santana accuses Kitty of being responsible for Marley fainting. At the after-party, when Julie insults Quinn, Kitty tries to defend her but Julie walks away. Kitty participates in the spin-the-bottle game, kissing Joe in her first spin and feeling uncomfortable due to his brief past with Quinn.
She seems to really enjoy it, though she pretends otherwise. Later, she is seen watching Jake as he walks towards Julie. That was the Tina viewers were dying to witness, but never had the chance to see again. The truth is, Tina, out of the blue, fell for Blaine, became the unfortunate reincarnation of Carrie when announced prom queen, and her ending saw her getting together with Artie.
It was unfair to see her potential led astray for 6 seasons and no proper ending to make up for the faults. In the beginning, Quinn was the mean cheerleader who dated the quarterback. Then, she became one of the few examples of teenage pregnancy on-screen and had to embrace the outcast reality. Yet, after going through all the humiliation, she went back to her shallow self in Season 2 with rare moments of redemption. It seemed like Quinn was purposefully written to move two steps forward, three steps back all the way to the end of the show.
The last we saw of her was as a mature and responsible woman in the beginning of Season 6 and then she was completely forgotten by the finale. Quinn Fabray deserves an apology for the rollercoaster she faced, and nothing better than a reboot to make that happen. This might be a divisive pick, but fans must admit that despite his arrogant and intolerable behavior, Jesse St. James Jonathan Groff owned every single scene he appeared in. Maybe more important because we care a lot more about Kitty than the fact that Tina's going to Brown University.
So what happened to Kitty Wilde? After stepping up to the plate during the New Directions trip to Nationals in LA and singing her heart out during the competition, she fell by the wayside for the past two episodes. Granted that "" and "New Directions" were both farewell episodes to the glee club and focused on the show's original characters returning for a last hurrah, Kitty's absence was duly noted by Glee fans on Twitter following the episode.

Kitty tries to shout to Tina to warn her, but it is too late, and Tina is drenched in slushy, with many of the prom attendees laughing at her.
New Directions follow her to the choir room and console her, and Kitty offers her prom dress to Tina, which she accepts. Kitty and the other girls clean Tina up and they return to the prom, with Kitty now wearing plain clothes, while singing Hey Jude , applauding Tina as she accepts her crown.
The Quarterback Kitty has her first minor role of the season and is seen for the first time singing Seasons of Love for Finn Hudson with some old and new New Directions members in the auditorium. Unique, Kitty, Tina, and Jake are put together to come up with a 'Katy' song, since they classify themselves as "Gagas.
When Jake says that he is helping Bree with a Cheerios performance, Kitty says that Bree is a very vile and mean girl. After the over-the-top performance of Applause from Team Katy, Team Gaga struggles to find a performance that can really top them, but Tina comes up with the idea to strip down the song into an acoustic number.
When Team Gaga sings Wide Awake in front of the audience, it ends up being a successful hit. At last Kitty, dressed up in Katy Perry garb, Sue comes in with news that the New Directions have been suspended for their provocative clothing. Despite this, New Directions sing Roar to show that they are not backing down. When Artie says that it's physically impossible for him to twerk, Kitty cheekily says that she begs to differ, making Artie smile.
After Mr. Will says that they are going to fight back, and the group sings Blurred Lines , in which Kitty has a solo. The whole school joins in, and cheers as the song comes to a close at the auditorium. She participates in a "presentation" Will holds for the school board. Kitty, along with Blaine, is tasked with presenting a bunch of dances that Will summarizes as "dirty dancing. Later, Kitty is seen at the next meeting, where Unique says that she needs to use the toilet.
Kitty looks annoyed that Sue has made Unique resort to going to the toilet in the choir room. Later on, she enters the choir room, as Will rubs the board clean, and says that the twerking is over.
Movin' Out When Will describes the artist they will tribute this week Kitty gets excited thinking it will be Marilyn Manson, but is disappointed when it is revealed to be Billy Joel. Puppet Master Kitty is first seen in the choir room goofing off with the rest of the New Directions. Previously Unaired Christmas Kitty is first seen at the Glee Club meeting, and she is excited about them "going green" with decorations. Kitty and Jake as Mary and Joseph Blaine wants Kitty to play Mary to make her feel better about herself, which will hopefully, make her feel like she can be nicer to everyone else.
Kitty is later mentioned by Tina when she says to Artie that Kitty is using Artie to become more popular, and refers to her as "the biggest bitch of McKinley" when they have a competition to become the generation's valedactorian.
The performance ends when Tina, accidentally, throws Artie out of his wheelchair, and Kitty is seen mad about it. When Blaine assures Tina that Brown will accept her, Kitty jokes that Brown will have to open their gates extra wide to let her in. At last, she is seen dancing and singing to Breakaway.
Later she is seen in the bus during Sam's pep talk, and watching the competition choirs perform before the New Directions take the stage. Before their time to performe, the New Directions make a circle with Burt and Carole, where they talk about the late Finn Hudson. After the judges announce that Throat Explosion are the winners, she along with the other New Directions members are sad and disappointed. Kitty and the New Directions travel back to Ohio to wallow in their grief over the fact that glee club is now over for good, but Burt and Carole assure them all that they did Finn proud.
Later is revealed that the glee club is canceled. She is not pleased with Biff when she notices that he is not paying attention to his girlfriend Quinn during Toxic. This episode marks Kitty's last appearance in Season Five. Tested Kitty briefly appears in the episode recap, along with Tina and Brittany - the ex-girlfriends of Artie, showing that their relationship did not continue once Artie moved to New York.

In the callbacks for Born to Hand Jive , Kitty begins to get feisty and at one point is taken of the stage by Jake after she tried to go after Marley.
